CB Insights Fintech 100: the world's most promising fintech companies in 2026

Duna has been named to the 2026 Fintech 100, CB Insights' annual list of the world's most promising fintech startups, now in its ninth year. Duna is one of seven companies in the Compliance & identity category, part of the list's Financial services operations section. The list spans 21 categories across six sections of the fintech market, from payments and business finance to capital markets. CB Insights' research team selected the companies using its own data on deal activity, industry partnerships, and team and investor strength, and invited finalists' leadership to an executive interview.

Duna works on the part of the process where financial institutions often lose business customers: onboarding and periodic reviews. In our work with banks and fintechs, an analyst spends three to six hours on a single business case, and business clients go straight through in only 30–50% of cases, against 70–90% for individuals. Duna turns an institution's own compliance policy into code. AI agents gather and assess the evidence under that policy, deterministic rules make the decision, and every step is logged, so each decision can be explained to a regulator.

Our customers' results show what AI in compliance looks like once it is live. At seQura, the team reboarded 1,700 active merchants in roughly 420 analyst-hours; on its previous setup, the same queue would have taken nearly 7,000. At bol, analysts review a selling-partner case in an average of 5.4 minutes, and 81% of cases close on first review with no follow-up.

"Financial institutions all face the same question: how to get AI working in compliance without losing control of the decision. We answer it by working inside their teams, deploying agents on the cases we choose together and training the analysts who review the output. We are very proud to support our customers throughout their AI transformation journey." - Duco van Lanschot, co-founder, Duna
